WebOS was announced by Palm back in January 2009, and last year it was acquired by HP. Back in February, HP officially announced several new devices which include their first ever webOS tablet Touchpad and successor to Pre 2 known as Pre 3. Now our friends over at PreCentral got their hands on the images of two new WebOS phones. First one is the Pre 3 which is a successor to Pre 2, and in the screenshot above, we can see that it’s running on Verizon Wireless network. The actual phone comes with both GSM and CDMA radio, and the one in the image above is a prototype version. So what I think is that Pre 3 will be a world phone on Verizon. HP announced that they will launch this phone this summer.
At the CES 2011, Motorola shocked the world by announcing their first ever dual-core phone which is known as the Motorola Atrix 4G. Atrix 4G is Motorola’s superphone, and features like the laptop dock makes the Atrix 4G even more amazing. It’s already available in USA via AT&T. Now Orange UK has officially announced the Motorola Atrix 4G and in UK it’s known as Motorola Atrix.
Samsung announced its QWERTY phone Galaxy Pro at Samsung SEA Forum in Singapore last month. Now this phone is available for pre-order on Flipkart for Rs 12,290 and the estimated release date is mentioned as 3rd week of April.
It’s been a rather rainy day today here in Austria, but since the weather has cleared up a bit, i was out and about with the Nokia N8 before. Spring has finally arrived and with it some buds on the tree right in front of the company I’m working at. If you know me, you know my love for the Nokia N8. Symbian^3 doesn’t exactly make it the most user-friendly device, but as mentioned in my Nokia E7 hits and misses post, Nokia’s hardware is unmatched. Focus point on the Nokia N8 is of course the 12MP camera with carl zeiss optics, a xenon flash and the biggest sensor ever put into a mobile phone.
BlackBerry App World received an update yesterday, some of you might have noticed it wasn’t available for download for a while and when it came back some users were getting notifications of the update to version 188.8.131.52. There is no changelog for this version so we can’t really tell what is new, and some of you might still see 184.108.40.206 instead of the new version (like it’s happening to me) so I guess it’s still rolling out to everyone. If you did get the update, let us know what you find!
BlackBerry Bold 9650 users haven’t had any new OS builds to play around with since .466 dropped. Today, OS 220.127.116.114 has hit the interwebs, and a lot of 9650ers should be proud. There is no changelog with this build, so be sure to back up before you load up. Hit the break to download.
